The replica of the historical theatre stage demonstrates the magnificent illusionary space in which marionettes were played in the late 19th century. The space in which the marionettes themselves could play and move was very limited. (18.06.2025, EF)

The historical stage sets were repainted by the theatre painters Eva Knüppel and Moritz Schmidt in order to come as close as possible to the effect of the original stage set. This is not the original stage. (18.06.2025, EF)
