Object description
The marionette represents the character “Mephisto” from the play “Goethe's Urfaust”. This play was staged for marionettes by Fritz Fey senior and premiered in Lübeck on May 1, 1983. The speakers in the play were well-known actors from Lübeck's municipal theater. Subjects such as Faust are still popular themes for puppet plays today. The special feature of these figures is that Fritz Fey senior tried to make the puppets' heads in particular more abstract and modern. (22.11.2024 MP)
