Object description
The houses in four parts (a-d) are the backdrops for the play ‘The Barber of Seville’. The four 105.5 cm high and approx. 45-50 cm wide parts are made of spearwood panels, which were painted with different houses. The roof contours have been sawn out of the wood and red-brown roofs, yellow facades and arches have been painted. (28.01.2025, EF)

These houses are part of the set design for the play „The Barber of Seville“ by the Lübecker Marionetten Theater and was added to the collection in 2016 as part of the inheritance of Fritz Fey Sr. The set was designed in 1986 by Christa Hillekamp, who worked with Fritz Fey Senior as a set designer at the Lübeck Puppet Theater from 1983-1991.
