Object description
The black and white photo shows a shadow theatre production of the play ‘The Town Musicians of Bremen’. The actors can be seen at the bottom of the photo. The play was performed by Theater Zinnober from 1986 and was described by them as follows: "A classic of the theatre o.N. | Zinnober, which is still relevant today. Four set out to escape their fate, and through togetherness they find new courage and meaning in life. (...) This is how the well-known fairy tale by the Brothers Grimm is told here - with figures, their own hands, light and shadow, live music and sounds..." The theatre was the first independent theatre in the GDR. (17.04.2025 MP)
